Smart Format is a standardized excel reporting format used by asset managers to report their stewardship activities to asset owners. Currently (as of March 2021), approximately over 60 public and private asset owners in Japan use the Smart Format. This type of industry coordinated approach to stewardship reporting is rare across the globe. JSI has a dedicated working group for continued annual upgrades.
